Safety & Risk Disclosure
Adventure activities carry risk that cannot be removed, only managed. Aesthetic Himalayas Travel Company publishes this so you know what you are accepting before you pay, not after.
Activities in the mountains and on rivers involve risk of injury, and in rare cases serious injury. Weather, water level, terrain and altitude change without warning. No operator can remove that risk. We reduce it with certified guides, maintained equipment and conservative judgement — and we would rather cancel than run an activity we are not confident in.
Every activity runs with a guide certified for it. Safety equipment is inspected before each use and retired on the manufacturer's schedule, not when it looks worn. Group sizes are capped so a guide can actually watch everyone. We check conditions on the morning of the activity, every time.
Tell us about any medical condition or injury before you book, not on the day. Arrive sober and on time. Wear the equipment as shown. Say so if you are uncomfortable — stopping is always allowed and always free.
Before taking part you (or your guardian, if you are under 18) will be asked to confirm that you have read this disclosure, that you have declared any relevant medical condition, and that you accept the inherent risk of the activity. This is a declaration of informed consent — it does not waive our responsibility to run the activity competently.
We carry the operator liability cover required for our activities. That is NOT personal accident or medical insurance for you. We strongly recommend your own travel or adventure-sports policy, and you should check it covers the specific activity.
Guides carry a first-aid kit and a means of communication. The nearest medical facility is the nearest district hospital. Emergency contact: . Tell us at booking who we should call on your behalf if you cannot.
